The first FMB World Tour 2013 Gold event is upon us as we head to FISE Montpellier on May 8th – 11th 2013. The world’s best riders are chomping at the bit to win some big points for the FMB World Tour overall ranking. The riverside course is renowned for its technical characteristics and whoever can rise above the rest at FISE Montpellier will have proven his contention for the FMB World Tour 2013 title. Tune in on May 11th at 19:40 (7:40pm CEST/10:40am PST) for the LIVE webcast on www.fmbworldtour.com!

The first FMB World Tour 2013 ranking points were awarded at TEVA Slopestyle in February. Since then Sam Pilgrim has almost consistently led the overall ranking, only shortly being demoted into 2nd by Czech rider Tomas Zejda. Today, Sam remains at the top of the leader board, but he will have to ride like never before to fight off his competitors at FISE Montpellier. Big names like Tyler McCaul, Anthony Messere and Brett Rheeder will be travelling across the Atlantic to compete for the first big points in Europe. FISE Montpellier and the upcoming Red Bull Berg Line are the last chance to win valuable FMB World Tour 52 week seeding list points for X Games Munich. Gold events always attract the biggest names and from now on, things really do get serious as riders battle to put points on the board. Read More

Cowboys and Bikers: cory checks in from whiskey 50

The final stop on our America road trip was in the cowboy town of Prescott Arizona. This town of 40 000 country folk was the capital of Arizona from 1864 to 1889, but more importantly is now host of the annual Whisky 50 mountain bike race. The race attracts most of the top pros in North America, as well as nearly 1800 amateurs for a weekend of high altitude (5500ft-7500) racing. There are saloons all over the old western town with nightly shootouts and cowboys strutin their stuff. There’s also an obsession with elk hunting as elk statues, elk head mounts and elk fajitas are found everywhere. The only elk that couldn’t be found around the area was a smiling live one.
