Here’s a repost from this mornings Globe & Mail from Micah Toub. Great Read.
A couple weeks ago, I was cycling down Queen Street in Toronto when I was serendipitously swept up in a mass ride celebrating Bike Month. It was fun to be taking over the street with this two-wheeled mob, but I have to admit I also felt a little dorky as chic shoppers gazed at us from the sidewalk, bewildered. I imagined approaching one of them at a bar.
“So, do you come here often?” I’d ask, shuffling my hair, trying to remove the strange sculptures created by my helmet.

Test of Metal Report from Kris Sneddon at this weekends Test of Metal race in Squamish BC.
I got second in the Test of Metal this weekend. I took the first preem, the pack was watching Max P and Geoff K so I was able to get away. Right after that Geoff launched a counter attack and got a gap. I don’t think anyone was expecting him to attack when he did and he was able to ride away, we didn’t see him for the rest of the race.

Here’s a little report from our marathon man, Cory Wallace.
Hope the weather was as nice out on the coast as it was in the Rockies this weekend. We all got a little sun burnt. Now it is hailing down sideways…
I had a good weekend up in the Rockies. XC on Saturday on the potential Nationals course was fast. Stefan Widmer, Matt Hadley and myself gapped the other 24 elites pretty decently. I was fighting Hadley on the last lap for 2nd place when I flatted and had co2 troubles. Finished 9th eventually. The marathon race the next day was a different story.

Ryan Trebon (KONA/FSA) earned the final automatic nomination to the men’s squad by garnering the most points in five out of the six U.S. qualification races. With his silver medal performance at the national championships and his fourth-place ranking in the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Racing Calendar standings, Trebon should be a strong contender in Tabor.
