Race Report by Kaz Shimizu
Asian Junior Championships since the first mountain bike. KAZUKI SHIMIZU (JPN) AKI Factory Team DH 1st.

Our good mate Scott Dickson recently revealed this beautiful painting of shredness. Fjord, berm, manual, surreal flow. Scott Dickson is the man behind Freeride Entertainment’s New World Disorder covers and we love what he does. Enjoy.

A big part of what makes a Kona bike different from all the others is its longevity. We make bikes that last for generations. So when we come across people who still ride bikes we made in the early 1990s, we get excited. Here’s a cool blog post from Steve Behr, who’s now using his ’93 Explosif to tote his little kid through the park. Atta boy Steve, good daddin’ on ya mate!

In our new From the Vault series, we bring back the good ol’ days. Here, circa 1999, longtime Kona Lensman John Gibson captures sweet celluloid while on the first ever Kona Clump photo shoot. Where else? The Kona Coast, Pololu, Hawaii. Feel the heat. It’s wondrous.
