Etienne Dromart Wins Mini City Enduro Race at Morzine

Kona Europe worker Etienne Dromart spread his Abra Cadabra at Morzine during the Passportes mtb festival. Race was placed in the village of Morzine Saturday evening and Etienne took home the main prize (One week ski holiday in Morzine).

Grassroots Rider Floris Snoeren – Race Updates (Netherlands)

09-06-2012 Minidownhillcup SFA, Netherlands.
This was the first downhillish track in the minidownhill series. It had some nice jumps, drops and fast berms. Practice was on Saturday morning, had some nice practice runs with Marin van der Heide, rider for the Dutch BMX talent team, and my big sis Dewi Snoeren (they are in love, haha). Kona DH Team Moves Up the Standings in Mont Ste Anne

Kona Team DH riders are steadily moving up the World Cup rankings with some solid top 30 results at Mont Ste Anne against a super competitive field. Mitch Delfs finished 26th and Connor Fearon nabbed is best WC result to date by finishing 28th. Both were great results on a track this demanding and dangerous. Connor was pleased with his result, every week he is getting better and better and he’s shooting for a top 20 next week. Mitch was hungrier than what he got, considering the history he has with that track and all his local fans showing up in high numbers, his 26th place was good but not satisfying for him. Both riders are aiming top 20 and want it badly before the small break on the WC circuit.

On the XC front, Kona Team riders Spencer Paxson and Kris Sneddon did great as well considering the conditions. With burning hot sun and 32 degrees first hour of the race and then switching to heavy cold rain with high winds, unfortunately Kris pulled out after crashing but Spencer battle his way up to 42 place after starting 83 on the the start grid.

Joe Schwartz – Kamloops Reminiscing

I recently road-tripped up to Kamloops for a weekend of riding. I was invited along by a small crew led by Seb Kemp, who was writing a story on the Loops for Dirt Magazine, and Reuben Krabbe, who was capturing the images for the article.

I had not been to Kamloops in a long while, focusing my travels on other parts of BC, and more exotic locales in the previous few years. I feel strong ties to that arid part of the province though, having spent many weeks there in the early days of my freeride career, shooting for the New World Disorder movies and getting into the youthful trouble that seemed to follow our film shoots around in those days.
