If Darren gives a bike an endorsement like this it says a lot. This guy's idea of a "f.u.n." ride (I'll let you guess at his meaning behind that acronym) must include not only flowy singletrack, but also steep & loose descents, lots of chunk, and grueling hike-a-bike sections. If he's stoked on the bike for his back-country adventures, you know it can handle anything!

Hi there,

We couldn't get 2 peapods on the back of the minute but I went for it anyway, and my husband built a new deck for it that can hold 2 kids just fine.

Here's a blog post with directions on how (see the bottom).

http://www.creeksidecommunications.com/web-marketing/bike-shopping-in-ottawa-the-kona-minute-and-why-sales-and-marketing-need-to-be-on-the-same-team/

My kids are pretty light, so it's all good. I can take my 8 and 2 year olds, or 5 and 2 year olds, but we can't go far with the 8 and 5 year olds back there - I think they add enough weight that it doesn't handle as well (about 80 pounds).

Hope this helps.
