From Connor Fearon – In the last few years I haven’t been able to race much of my local state series as I’m usually overseas racing the world cups. Luckily there was a round in between the first two world cups that I was home for that I was really looking forward to race.
I’ve been racing local downhill rounds for over ten years and it’s always a great time riding bikes for the pure fun of it and not having the all the pressure that comes with racing world cups. Eagle mountain bike park is only 10 minutes away from my house in Adelaide South Australia and I’ve raced there a lot in the last few years. I know the track like the back of my hand so it was good to spend some time on the bike get ready for the second World Cup in Fort William in a couple weeks.
I ended up winning the race which is good as there’s a lot of fast up and comers in Adelaide at the moment. I just need to keep this momentum going forward for the rest of the World Cup series and try to reach my goals.
