If you’ve watched Steel City Media’s video of Connor Fearon mucking round in Adelaide on everything but his DH bike, you’ll know that he can RIDE a dirt jump hardtail. His Shonky AL has just spent the last three weeks in Whistler with Connor and we thought we’d give you a closer look at the top ten downhillers’ custom DJ whip.

Truvativ XO cranks, a 32t X-Sync chain ring, polycarbonate pedals and a half link chain get things moving.

Out back Connor is rocking a 16t ring.

Connor put a Pike on it, a Pike DJ to be precise

The bike rolls on Novatech Dirtride 26″ rims with Maxxis Skinwall DTH’s (Drop The Hammer) providing traction.
An ODI Flight Control stem holds a matching ODI Flight Control handlebar while ODI’s Elite Motion grips keep Connors’s hands in place.

Bar spins and tailwhips are in Connor’s repertoire hence the long brake cable.

The classic Avid Code slows things down

Four powerful and reliable pistons

A carbon Truvativ Noir seatpost and WTB’s Hightail saddle with Ti rails keep the weight down.
