The coolest thing about east coast Kona dream builds is the fact that they are almost always dripping in local parts from companies like Industry Nine and Cane Creek. Mark’s Appalachian ripping 27.5 Kona Process CR DL is no exception. We don’t have a whole bunch of photos, but thanks to the crew at Back Alley Bikes in Carrborro, NC for supplying the built info, we can confirm, without a shadow of a doubt that Marks build is damn dreamy.

A full 11 speed XTR drivetrain propels the bike, Mark has opted for 170mm cranks up front to keep rock strikes to a minimum. A One Up 32t chainring keeps the chain in place and One Up’s alloy pedals keep Marks feet planted.

Keeping things local, the bike features Cane Creek’s popular Helm Air 170mm fork up front. The wheels are a full Industry Nine Enduro 305 Hydra setup shod with Maxxis DHf and DHRII tires .

Out back you’ll find more Cane Creek, this tie in the form of the Double Barrel Coil.

Keeping things blue, stopping (or slowing down) is thanks Shimano XTR brakes, with 180mm rotors.

A matching green Industry Nine A35 stem holds a Race Face Atlas 35mm bar while Senus Lite grips hold Marks hands in place.

A Bike Yoke Revive 185mm seatpost keeps things going up and down smoothly while Cane Creek’s legendary 110 headset keeps the east coast wetness at bay, the build is rounded out with Fabric’s Scoop Race Shallow saddle.
