There are so many niche’s in cycling now that it’s pretty hard to keep up, well it’s hard to keep up if you care. Paul doesn’t care, he just wanted to build the most bad ass, do everything (and we mean everything) fully rigid steel bike he could. He chose the super versatile Sutra Ltd as the base for the build and then just went to town.

Paul started with the frame set and kicked things off with a set of custom wheels, Hope Pro 4 Hubs laced to Stan’s Crest Mk3 rims, all wrapped up in Maxxis Ikon 2.3’s

Paul is not the tallest person out there so some 165mm Raceface Affect cranks where enlisted along with a Race Face 36t narrow wide chain ring. Kona’s composite Wah Wah light green pedals provide the power transfer while a Shimano 105/Ultegra drivetrain with a Wolftooth Roadlink DM and XT 11-42t cassette turn it all in to forward momentum.

Flat mount Shimano 105 disc brakes keep speed in check.

Fabric’s always popular Scoop saddle found a home on top of a poor neglected rigid Thomson seatpost.

K-Edge’s Garmin Mount sits under one of our 30th anniversary top caps.

And the build is rounded out with a Thomson 50mm stem, a Salsa Bend bar and silicon ESI grips.
