Bad Ass Bikes, Bristol, UK
Robert ‘Box’ Cooksley founded Bad Ass Bikes in 2000 after much experience working within the cycle industry, and as a suspension specialist. He saw a real need for somewhere to get bikes tuned in his local area, and set up a workshop in an old stone barn on a farm in the middle of nowhere! His ethos of ‘a shop is only is only as good as it’s workshop’ is one he has always followed, and has throughout the years gained a huge following of regular customers, which has been ever-growing. In 2010 Box moved Bad Ass Bikes to a much larger premises, but the quality of service is all intact and he is still as hot for the bikes as he has ever been. Box is an avid Kona fan, and believes the bikes, especially the frame materials and linkage technology, is going ballistic.
