Tough Weekend for Two Kona Team Athletes

Racing on opposite sides of the globe, two of the Kona Team’s gnarlier riders had big get offs this past weekend. French Enduro rider, Karim Amour, braved snow in last weekend’s Kali Open Enduro, finishing 10th place overall but falling in the last stage of the race and partially breaking his collar bone. Knowing how professional and strong Karim is, we expect him back in the saddle very soon.

At Mont Tremblant, Quebec for the first Canada Cup of the season this past weekend, Kona DH rider Connor Fearon had a bad crash on the Saturday afternoon practice, washing out in a corner and flying head first into a big rock. He broke his helmet and neck brace and had to have six stitches in his cheek. After a thorough hospital check, Connor is feeling good and ready to race. Scary, but lucky he didn’t suffer a concussion or worse.

Our thoughts are always with our pro athletes who risk it all in the name of racing. We look forward to seeing Karim and Connor back in the game soon.
