The peoples champ Miranda Miller (@mirandamillermtb) lead a group ride in the Whistler bike park yesterday. Attendees consisted of kids on 20” bikes (and their parents), up coming freeride superstars and a couple keen Kona staffers. They rode jumps, slabs and had some pretty rowdy party trains. Thanks for the good times, Brenda! #KonaBikes

Here, There, Everywhere ep.3 Play, Not Practice: “Play, Not Practice” focuses on Revolution Bike Park and the culture and creativity in the UK Bike Park scene. Whistler Bike Park opened when Miranda was 9 and, later, she started riding there when she was about 11 or 12. It was exciting, but pretty low key in those days. The trails were still being developed; there was more dirt than rock and it was ‘ride on’ lift lines. She had some of her first world-class racing there and some of her early successes. She loved it and felt like the bike park was full of magic. Recently however, to this privileged local, it has felt that WBP has demanded more effort and more patience to find that same magic. It still exists of course, but you have to push a little deeper through the dust and long lift lines. A-Line is the best jump trail in the world, but surely there’s something else to match? Another bike park somewhere with some of this magic? Could it be Revolution Bike Park? If there’s somewhere to rival Whistler, it could be there.

While Miranda Miller is racing the EWS Prologue tomorrow Kona Ambassador Jo Peters (@jo___peters) and SGR rider Elliot Smith (@bells2002) will be smashing out full race days in the EWS80 and EWS100. Today they practiced (and suffered) though some brutal liaisons, got to sample hero dirt and descended somebig hills. #KonaBikes #konaambassadors #konasupergrassroots

1.2 July - Satchel Cronk (@satchscratch) and Ambassador Leah Lind-White (@leahlindwhite) went up to South Lake Tahoe, to check out some familiar trails that burned in the Caldor Fire last summer. It's a complicated experience, being in a burn zone--shocking and sad to see the land so charred and changed, but also incredibly interesting and inspiring to see how quickly nature bounces back. And, visually stunning to boot, of course. Huge credit goes to @tambatahoe for getting this trail back online, so quickly and effectively. #KonaBikes #konaambassadors

The Rockstar Gravel Trail is a monster. Stretching 250 miles and climbing 25,000 vertical feet, it's a grind to do as a multi-day ride. After bikepacking the trail last year, Kerry Werner (@kerryw24) decided to go for the Fastest Known Time (FKT) which sat at a bit under 19 hours. With very little experience to draw from for big days, Kerry set out to break the record. Fully self-supported, full of self-doubt, dark moments, and deep in the Virginia heat, Kerry and his Libre CR DL put down an incredible effort that won't soon be forgotten.

Kona has teamed up with our dynamic trail building duo @shire.built to bring you a Jump Jam like no other. Shire Built’s crown jewel and claim to fame is Mohawk, Galbraith Mountain’s progressive jump trail. Here, Scotty and Spencer of Shire Built will be hosting the public to come and ride with them and friends. All levels welcome! Along with some fantastic spectating, believe us when we say there is something for everyone. Whether it’s your first table top jump, or a booter to the moon. From 4pm - 5pm there will be a grand finale on the lower Pro Line jumps to those who sign up ahead of time (limited space available). For more info visit the link in our bio!

Kona Gravity Rider and North Shore native Caleb Holonko (@calebholonko) has been turning heads with his classic mix of heavy hitting and super stylish riding. On a recent visit to the Kootenays with his Process X, he teamed up with local filmer Logan Williams (@loganwilliamstv) and put together this solid clip that just scratches the surface of what both Caleb and the region have to offer.

“Throughout my life, I’ve spent many summers road tripping to the B.C. interior with very minimal exploration outside of Christina Lake. After seeing so many friends post and rave about the amazing trails, I decided to venture to Castlegar and Nelson for my first taste. Man, did it deliver! Endless single track, crazy woodwork, and some untouchable flow trails! It was great to put my little flair on trails that I normally would just chill through.

The GTMC (Grande Traversée du Massif Central) is a historical cycling route from Burgundy in Central France to the shores of the Mediterranean sea. Thomas Boury (@totosupertramp) has established a new benchmark by setting a new FKT (Fastest Known Time) on the 1400km route (complete with 27000 meters elevation) in 6 days 36 minutes… On a Singlespeed Unit! #KonaBikes #KonaUnit

Kona at Northwest Tune-Up Festival! The first @nwtuneup was hosted in Kona USA’s backyard, Bellingham, WA. We had the pleasure of having a large turnout of Kona Ambassadors for this event. They led rides, raced, dominated the podium, and taught clinics! We had everything needed to have a great time including a shiny new pumptrack by Kona Ambassadors @shire.built , a Kona-themed beer release with our friends @gruffbrewing , and a Coffee with Kona every day thanks to local Roaster @tonyscoffee !
