10 Year old Kenzie Nevard has found himself on the podium twice in the last two weeks. First up was the Junior DH at Tavistock Woods in Devon where he dominated the technical track. The UK Juniors race a best of two run format, and after posting the second fastest time on his first run (with an over the bars crash) he went back up for his second run and rode his Stinky 24 to the top of the podium in a time of 1:40:27.
The Junior DH at Rogate was next on his calendar and just happened to be the following weekend. The previously dry and dusty track had been doused with rain a few days before the race, so the chances of a mud free event flew out the window, pretty typical of UK racing really. The track had a bit more flow to it than the one at Tavistock and after a fantastic practice, Kenzie found himself in second after the first run with a time of 1:10:86. Motivated he went back and bettered it on his second with a time of 1:10:72 which was good enough for second!
“Now, with two podiums in as many weeks I am really loving my Kona Stinky 24 and it seems to like me! It’s fast to pedal and handles brilliantly on the steep and tech trails.”
