Transrockies day 6/3. Today was great. Last year this was the stage that nearly killed everyone. It was super cold and incredibly dangerous up on the mountain. Today was sunny, warm and beautiful. After a bit of greasy single track to start the day Kris and I rode together off the front, finishing the stage an hour faster than last year, and a whole lot happier. Acing views greeted us from the top of the mountain and we had fun trying to kill each other the whole way down the other side. Once we reached the end I snuck Kris in front of me so he could stand on the top step for the day while I still hold on to the lead going into the final stage. Tomorrow brings technical trails and is a relatively flat day, but it will be no cake walk. I’m sure Kris will keep me on my toes until were tasting victory at the awards banquet.
