After the first two races held in Argentera (Italy) and La Bresse (France), the final stage of the Nissan European DH Cup was held this past Sunday in Namur (Belgium). After team rider Kristof Lenssens broke his shoulder blade during training, Belgian champion Bertrand Gilles called for revenge on one of the fastest tracks of the season. Lot of speed, big jumps and bad weather, this last round of the Nissan European DH Cup was the perfect spot for the thousands spectators that joined the city for the race. Bertrand had solid runs all weekend, and while Belgian star Nico Vink took the win, the Barracuda/Kona rider placed third on the event which was enough to win the overall ranking of the series.

A well deserved place for one of the most talented young riders in Europe. This European title means a great end of a fabulous season for the team Barracuda/Kona. Riders and team members are now already working on making a more than perfect 2011 season.
