In what feels like the most stretched out DH season ever, Kona Gravity riders Tegan Molloy and Connor Fearon yesterday made the short trip from their base for the last month in Bromont to the infamous Mont St. Anne world cup track… And then went for a (track) walk.
Given that Mt St. Anne, in one form or another, has been on the World Cup MTB circuit since 1991 it almost seems redundant to walk it yet again. But both Connor and Tegan are super excited about what they saw out on the track. It has been a dry summer and yesterday the track they walked was dusty, rough, rutted and fast. With rain forecast though, things are going to be exciting as ever for both the spectators and the riders.
After Lenzerheide Connor and I headed straight to Bromont to ride and hang out in-between races. The perfect training ground, with plenty of downhill tracks and trails to ride a great lead up coming into MSA. The track here in MSA looks flat out and as rough as ever, after spending some time in Bromont I’m looking forward to getting out there and back between the tape. – Tegan M0lloy
Mont St Anne has a lot of changes this year. Making it faster than ever… It’s really dry at the moment but rain is forecasted which will make things interesting. I’m definitley looking forward to racing after a few weeks break – Connor Fearon
