With the Lenzerheide finals kicking off tomorrow in Switzerland, this morning’s qualifing went swimmingly for Kona Gravity Riders Connor Fearon and Tegan Molloy, both riders are feeling positive about their runs and excited for what tomorrow will bring.
Connor kept his consistent season rolling along, matching his overall position and number plate to his result, qualifying in ninth. He’s got more up his sleeves for tomorrow though and is upbeat about having to take a few risks to get on to that podium “I’m looking forward to having a few good practice runs tomorrow morning and then turning up the heat for my race run. Times are tight here and you really have to put it on the line here to do well.”
After a disappointing last round where she missed out on qualifying by a single place, Tegan Molloy was not going to accept anything less than a solid result this weekend. “Qualifying morning started off well for me, I had two practice runs. The first run was just a bit of a scope to see how things had changed during group A practice and timed training. My second practice run everything seemed to come together, nailing all my lines, feeling ready for qualifying. After a long wait, I was up the top warming up; a little nervous I was in the gate. Sliding into 18th position, with a clean run hitting all my lines. Tomorrow is a new day and I’m excited for racing, ready to go hard and leave it all on the track.”
