What a race! After 15 hours, 48 minutes and 9 seconds and seven days of stage racing, Cory Wallace took the win from teammate Spencer Paxson today at the final stage of the BC Bike Race in Whistler. Spencer started the race with a comfortable buffer but a completely on form Cory Wallace charged though the short 26km stage and rolled across the finish line 2:11 up on Spencer, who crossed the line in third. That 2:11 margin was enough to eat into Spencer’s overall lead and hand Cory the 2016 BC Bike Race title by just 58 seconds! A massive congratulations from everyone here at Kona goes out to the two of you.

By the way, if you have been paying attention this is the fourth year in a row that Spencer has finished second. There’s always next year, bud!
