It was a unique day of racing on the final day of Kokanee Crankworx. The Canadian Open Enduro, presented by Kona, saw some of the world’s elite racers, including Kona Team Riders Karim Amour and Matt Slaven, battle it out over five stages on some of Whistler’s premiere sections of singletrack. Hailing from Nice, France, Karim Amour finished a respectable 5th, behind legends like Lopes and Vouilloz. “It was a super fun format,” said Amour after the race. “Very much like some of the races in Europe, which try to incorporate many different kinds of trails in a stage format that adds your combined time for the final result.
