The now-legendary Deep Summer photography competition took place at Crankworx in Rotorua, NZ last week and Kona Ambassador Elliot Smith was part of Thomas Falconer’s winning team. Thomas, Elliot and his teammates had three days to shoot a full three minute plus slideshow in and around Rotorua’s famous trail network and town. With four other photographers competing, winning was never going to be a walk in the park, but a solid story, great execution, and some amazing riding saw the team of five take the win and with it $3000 and an automatic entry into Deep Summer Whistler.
