Alan, the manager from Point Area Bicycle Service built up this SWEET Hei Hei CR DLIt was built with fast but aggressive midwest XC and trail riding in mind. Sacrificing suspension for weight savings was not an option, as Alan prefers his bikes to handle rough terrain as well as they pedal. Thus he used a surprisingly beefy suspension spec compared to a full race rig, or the stock Hei Hei CR DL build.

Alan kicked things off with XO1 cranks paired with Crank Brothers Candy 1 Pedals. This combo is the lightest Crank Bros option you can build.

Out the back, you’ll find an X01 AXS Groupset that adds a touch of class to this sleek build.
The brakes are TRP Quadiems, paired with 180mm Front and Rear SRAM Centerline X with Titanium Bolts.
The wheelset is Raceface Turbine R, and Alan is running Maxxis Rekon 29×2.6 3C EXO TR in the front and Maxxis Rekon Race 29 2.4 EXO TR in the rear.
Up front you’ll find a dreamy Rockshox Pike Ultimate with Push HC97 and MRP Ramp Control. He opted for the beefier Pike Ultimate compared to the lighter weight but more prone to flex SID Ultimate.
In the rear Alan is running an Ohlins TTX1 Rear Shock. His travel remained exactly the same front and rear stating  “the TTX1 is just a more aggressive shock aimed at aggressive trail and enduro riding (i.e. less prone to fade and more adjustability) with a remote reservoir compared to the stock lightweight SidLux.”

The build is completed with a Fox Transfer 125mm Dropper and a Wolftooth Light Action Dropper Lever.
