Kona Factory Rider Caleb Holonko’s builds always surprise. This his pre-production alloy Process X is no exception. Its dressed in the latest parts from SRAM and Rockshox and has a couple of few tricks up its sleeve to make it just that little bit more burly for the North Shores burliest rider!
Suspension-wise Caleb is sporting the latest from RockShox, with a Super Deluxe Ultimate out the back and a 170mm Zeb Ultimate up front.
The drivetrain is a full groupset from SRAM’s new XO AXS Transmission family — cranks, chainring, bash guide and derailleur all fit seamlessly together.
Caleb doesn’t do much slowing down, but when he does, he uses SRAM’s Code RSC brakes with 200mm Centerline rotors front and rear.
The rear flip chip is designed to keep the Process X geo the same when swapping between 27.5 and 29″ wheels. Caleb is running the bike in Mullet, so he’s got it in the ‘mixed’ 27.5 setting. Up in the cockpit you’ll see one of Caleb’s prized possessions, an old SRAM Black Box stem cable router. Caleb has moved that from bike to bike over the years.
Now here’s a fun unique little feature — Caleb wanted his bars as free from shifters and snapable parts as possible, you may notice in the above photo that his AXS dropper has no remote. Well, Caleb figured he didn’t need one. Just a quick touch on the posts test button activates the dropper post, and down (or up) she goes. Simple and tidy.
Like all sensible people Caleb is rocking a double down Maxxis Minion DHR II x Assegai combo, both tires are mounted on ENVE M7 rims.
