Scrolling through Instagram, Chris Trowsdale’s lime green aluminum Process 27.5 immediately jumps out at you. “Wait, that coil shock is not supposed to there!?!”

Chris is a part-time trail builder / full-time carpenter based in Cornwall, England. He is also a shop rider for Trailmunki Bodmin and he says “he doesn’t follow trends” and chose the parts with “durability over bling” in mind.

You don’t get more durable than a set of alloy Shimano XT cranks, marry that to an Absolute Black 34t chainring and you have one bombproof crankset.

Out the back, you’ll find a short cage Zee derailleur moving things up and down an XT 10spd cassette, yup just 10 gears! Dogs and cats living together!

Sticking with Shimano’s legendary Zee groupset, Chris has opted for powerful Zee stoppers.

And then there’s that coil! Chris opted to swap out the bike’s stock RockShox Deluxe Select Plus air shock for a Super Deluxe Coil and the fade-free performance that coil shock offers. Up front you’ll find a murdered out Lryik with the latest Charger 2.1 damper and DebonAir spring.

The cockpit kicks of the UK-made theme. Renthal has been enlisted for the stem and bar, while some purple flair finds its way in via the headset.

There’s more UK in the wheel build, purple Hope hubs are laced to WTB rims and then shod with Maxxis Assegai tires front and rear, the UK theme and the build on a whole are rounded out with a Burgtec Cloud saddle.
