Jeff Ashton’s Shonky popped up in our Instagram feed today, one direct message later and my inbox was full of high-res photos of this super unique and rad build. So let’s not waste any time check it out now!

In certain light, the Shonky identifies as a green bike, and in other light, it identifies as a purple bike. Jeff has gone deep on the prism paint of the bike and has opted for a bunch of purple parts to echo the duo color prism paint. He kicks things off with Race Face Atlas cranks mated to a 28t Black Spire chainring and Chromag Contact pedals.

The purple parts don’t stop there. In the cockpit, you find purple ODI Longneck ST grips mounted on a Chromag Fubar 40mm rise bars which are in turn mounted to a Chromag Ranger stem and a purple topcap. Braking comes courtesy of Shimano Deore.

Jeff has even custom painted a set of Marzocchi Bomber DJ’s. Maxxis DTH tires are mounted up on a set of miss-matched Mavic 729 rims.

Jeff even sourced this sweet Kona Clump saddle.
