Mark over at Privateer wheel Building Co. in Toronto Ontario, Canada built up this sweet Libre for the bike community to drool over.

He’s primarily a mountain biker, but he needed this sweet rig to keep up with his partner and her desire to explore more gravel backroads and rail paths.

Mark opted for the refined ergonomics and performance of the Shimano XT drivetrain.

With a Wolf Tooth 30T chainring and cranks, this Libre is ready for anything.

Being the expert wheel builder he is, Mark opted for Onyx Vesper hubs paired to 650b RaceFace ARC25 offset rims. He says “I don’t build many road or gravel wheels, and when I do they look an awful lot like mountain wheels, and that’s what you see here. Silent and stealthy, super low drag.”

Maximum comfort acheived with this 16 degree SQ Labs carbon bar.

Mark threw some new Hope Tech3 X2 brakes on there which provide all the stopping power you need for almost any situation.

One of Marks first upgrades to the bike was his Cane Creek eeSilk post, claiming it’s a “wonderful product if you are searching for comfort in general for longer stints in the saddle, or just booting around the pothole and street car track ridden roads of Toronto.”
