Miranda snuck on to our Instagram stories last night to post photos of her latest Process build, here it is in perpetuity. “Here is a little look at my brand new 2020 Process 153 CR/DL 29″. The only thing left to do, before it hits the dirt, is to get it wrapped!”
New to me this year is the Quarq Power Meter to go along with my SRAM AXS drivetrain. I have 32t on there right now. In the winter when I’m trying to keep my HR low in certain zones and the ground is soft, I run a 30t. ⠀
On this bike, I currently have a 200mm hydraulic dropper post with the X1 lever and AXS shifting. On my 2019 bike I had full AXS which I loved because I ran my shifting eTap style. But I found that 170mm wasn’t quite enough drop for me. So on this new bike I will try regular AXS shifting, with the 200mm dropper post. If I can’t adapt I will go back to a 170mm AXS post. Either option, I’ve got that Deity saddle strapped on. I’m spoiled.
Suspension-wise, the stock RockShox suspension has been replaced with a matching set of Fox Factory suspension, Orange 36’s up front and a Float X2 out back.
Up front I have a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate, 170mm, 2tokens, 70psi. and out the back RockShox Super Deluxe (with Meg Neg upgrade), 2pos/1neg, 200 psi w/ custom Rebound & Compression tune from Fluid Function here in Squamish.
This year we’ve teamed up with ENVE and I’ve been running Chris King hubs on the M730’s. I usually run a Maxxis Assegai in the front and a DHRII in the rear, then swap out the casing based on where I’m riding. DoubleDown or DH. Based on conditions I’ll go from an Assegai in the front to a Minion DHF. They’re kept sealed and secure with a XC Cushcore in the rear and Maxima sealant. ⠀
I prefer the HT X2 pedal with the ramp as it lets me clip back in after dabs a bit easier. ⠀
This year we have Gucci Ti bottle cages from Silca Velo and the cockpit is a OneUp 35mm rise handlebar, 760mm length on a 50mm stem. I have 10mm spacers under my stem. ODI Elite Pro grips that I trim the waffle off under the thumb, as well as the top ridge where my fingers would first fold over. I run 40mm between my grip and matchmaker clamp. ⠀
