The reality is, like many mountain bikers around the globe, Nate and his epic Hei Hei Race Dream Build are itching to race.
“With so many unknown circumstances today, it’s hard to focus on a single event to train for. Most races were canceled and even more were “postponed”. I was stoked to compete in my first year of U23 racing, representing the All Spoked Up Junior Development team, at Bonelli, Missoula, and Winter Park races. But reality has taken a turn for the worse. I’m hanging on to a glimmer of hope that my gorgeous new race bike can be properly ripped at the professional level. There is still a chance that I can compete at 2020 collegiate nationals, representing Marian University as a returning sophomore.”
Nate has gone for Race Face Next R cranks combined with a SRAM XX1 Drivetrain “I have always ridden on Sram componentry. Their products provide a smooth and easy shifting experience while remaining easy to maintain.”
A 120mm Fox Factory 34 Stepcast fork provides ample travel up front. “I’ve Been riding on Fox shocks for the past few seasons and have been extremely impressed with the performance and durability of their products.”

stopping comes courtesy of a set of Magura MT8 SL Brakes. “I’m a first time user of Magura Brakes, however, they have been highly spoken of by my peers. Plus, they feel great and weigh close to nothing!”
