Kevin from Grizzly Cycyles gave us a sneak peek of his Unit a few weeks ago and asked if it was worthy of a dream build feature? We replied with a resounding Hell Yes! Kevin lined up a shooter to do the bike justice and bam, here we are today presenting this freaking awesome custom Unit!

“I built this bike as a reminder of the simplicity a bike can offer. In a world where electronics are taking over, this is a reminder of simpler times. Getting on a bike and riding it in all conditions. I’ve found myself using this as a daily commuter, gravel adventure rig, and taking it out to our local mountain bike trails. I guess you could say the Unit embodies what a true “ATB” is…. Pure Fun.”

Kicking things off with the drive train Kevin has opted for SRAM XX1 rear derailleur, shifter and chain, that’s mated to a SRAM GX 10-50t cassette, GX cranks, and an Absolute Black 30t Oval chainring.

Oil Slick HT T1 pedals complete the drivetrain.

Up in the Kevin has a spec’d a set of super comfy Jones H bars complete with PNW Loam XL grips.

The stem is a thing of beauty and is a classic Thomson X4.

Braking comes courtesy of a set of powerful TRP DHR Evo’s with 203f/180r rotors.

The wheels are a mixture of Stans rims (a Flow S1 rear wheel and a Flow MK3) laced to Industry Nine hubs.

The Restrap bento box keeps the essentials within easy grasp.

The rugged Reynolds 520 frame is wrapped in DYEDbro dream catcher frame protection kit.

More Thomson radness is found supporting a Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow saddle.

The bike is finished off with a set of 29×2.8 Teravail Coronado tires.
