When we first saw Cary’s awesome Process CR 29 it was clear that he was a fan of orange. Or a fan of Fox. Or maybe a fan of both the color orange and Fox ( I mean he does work at Sellwood cycles and they certainly love orange). After reaching out to him via email, things became clear.
“My favorite colors have always been orange and blue, so I jumped on the orange Fox 36, Marzocchi coil shock with Fox SLS spring and matching Transfer seatpost.”
On top of the Fox 36, Marzocchi coil and Transfer post, Cary swapped out and upgraded the stock wheels to Stans Flow MK3’s with DT350 hubs and E13 TRS Race tires. The brakes are now Saints, while the drivetrain has been switched to SRAM XO1, the cockpit comes courtesy of Chromag with a BZA bar and stem combo, the upgrades are rounded out with Chromag Scarab pedals.
“I’m so stoked on how it turned out. The coil shock feels amazing. It’s so smooth and playful.”
But before we even begin to post anything about Cary’s dream build, a fresh email showed up. It seems that maybe Cary wasn’t quite as big a fan of orange as he’d thought.
“I over-dosed on orange the first go-round, I’ve just toned it down a bit. Here are some updated snaps.”
The orange coil is gone, the Orange 36’s gone and the even the orange Chromag BZA bars have been kicked to the curb.
