Zach’s says his Sutra LTD is the most versatile bike he’s ever owned. The custom build came about after he bought his wife a Rove ST frameset and ended up swapping the parts across from the stock Sutra LTD. Then he just had to build something custom.
“I needed it to be a good commuter and trailer hauler with my kiddo, but I also wanted it to be able to handle some bikepacking and definitely needed it to be a single track ripper. The bike got built up with a combination of Shimano Ultegra and XT components with a Wolftooth tanpan to make it work. Shimano hubs laced to RaceFace ARC rims hold on to a set of 29×2.25 WTB Riddlers and a RaceFace Turbine crank rounds out the running gear. I converted the unused front shifter to actuate the PDW dropper post, and topped it off with a Brook’s saddle and matching bar tape.”
