IMG_6732webAngus Cycle Hub recently took delivery of a fleet of Kona bikes to help with development of Cycling & Mountain Biking in the Angus region of Scotland.

The bikes are currently touring local schools as part of a Pump Track Racing Competition which has been organised in conjunction with the Active Schools network.

Scott Francis from Angus Cycle Hub said “We are delighted to be getting supported by Kona UK, The Kona Shred’s we have are great and have been taking an immense amount of abuse by riders in the competition but are still performing faultlessly”. The initiative which uses a twenty five metre portable wooden Pump Track and laser timing equipment has been funded by Active Schools through Active Places funding and The Social Entrepreneurs Award.

Scott went on to say “We have been doing lots of events with the bikes including a number of Queen’s Baton Relay Events and we also recently took over a Football Stadium where Kids were racing in front of 1500 of their peers!” “We are hopefully going to be taking delivery of some Kona bikes for our coaches soon and I can’t wait to get my hands on my new Kona Process.” For more information on Angus Cycle Hub visit
