Kona Team mechanic Mathieu Dupelle reports from Leogang: Good news despite the bad news. Last run before the qualifier Connor had a good crash and believes he may have a fracture in his hand. He also bent a handlebar, a fork, broke a brake lever, shifter, derailleur and a pedal. Fairly lucky it wasn’t worse. With help from the Sram guys we got everything fixed in less than 35 min and were ready in time for the qualifying run. Connor was debating racing or not because of his hand and got a solid 13th place for the qualifier (results here). He now says he is happy he raced. The great thing for tomorrow is that he will have his whole run on redbull tv live. Make sure to watch tomorrow.
