Leogang Resort, Austria. Round three of the World Cup DH circuit and the racing was fast and heated on a super challenging track. With a wet start to the day and some slip and slide qualifying, during the finals the Austria dirt dried up to perfect tack factor. Kona’s Mitch Delfs, who qualified 14th on Saturday, had a strong top section going but unfortunately tagged the first set of whoops right before the only flat section and struggled to keep the speed up from there. The Perth, Australia-based rider ended up placing 27th. Not a bad result at all for an up and coming contender against a lightening fast field. Photo: Ale di Lullo
