Sometimes you just need to get lost to get found. A local bike shop put on a gravel ride to explore the Eastern Townships of Quebec. No GPS, no idea where we were going with only a rough hand-drawn map. Halfway through the organizer surprised everyone with a pit stop complete with corn on the cob dripping with butter, local cheese, and of course, a keg of locally brewed beer. Everyone had a blast winding around the hills and spinning through the rolling farmland. It was our one last hurrah before the cold weather came into the north country. We may have taken a few wrong turns but there were always smiles to be found.
