THE 2016 GRAVITY SQUAD
Take two of Australia’s fastest downhillers, a crazy talented French slopestyle phenom, then add to the mix a first year Jr downhiller along with a big mountain specialist hailing from Canada and you’ve got the makings of one of the world’s most exciting mountain bike teams The Kona 2016 Gravity Squad. With the podium contending skills of Connor Fearon, Tegan Molloy and Anthony Poulson on the World Cup DH circuit, Graham Agassiz and Antoine Bizet at Rampage and on the big screen. Big things are about to happen.
Aggy is very eager for the Rampage this year, especially after he was invited to help find a new site along with other notable gravity athletes. And he might be working on a couple secret film projects that are due to release this year…but you didn’t hear that from us.
Connor Fearon has been training like an Olympian and the results show. Adhering to a strict training regime however doesn’t mean cutting out his love Australian Farmers Union iced coffee and delicious meet pies for afternoon snacks.
Antoine has recovered from the broken arm he suffered at last year’s Rampage and has recently begun to ride again. The time off the bike has fueled his competitive nature and he’s setting his sights big. He’s looking for redemption at the Rampage and has aspirations of winning as many Crankworx events as possible which should make for a very entertaining season.
Tegan has been racing in Australia already and winning everything she enters. Which is a perfect start to a season that she’s striving to finish in the Top 10 at all of the world Cup races, and maybe a podium appearance or 2.
Anthony Poulson is the young, new addition to the team. With all the energy that comes with youth, he’s ready to get the season started and take on the first World Cup.
