Having now achieved the cruising altitude of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with the cumulative climbing of the last 5 days, the racers of the inaugural Pioneer Stage Race faced the monster today: 112km and 3,500m of ascending through the beautiful but rugged Southern Alps between Lake Ohau to Lake Hawea. The Kona boys repeated their placing from the last three stages, with Wallace and Paxson rolling through in second, and Wicks and Sneddon not far behind in third. The general classification remains the same, with Dan McConnell and Anton Cooper remaining comfortably in first overall, with the Kona teams in second and third overall, respectively.NZ_Pioneer_Thursday-08262NZ_Pioneer_Thursday-08177NZ_Pioneer_Thursday-08186NZ_Pioneer_Thursday-08615NZ_Pioneer_Thursday-08150NZ_Pioneer_Thursday-9984
