We are super excited to announce our 2018-2019 Cyclocross Team presented by Maxxis Tires and Shimano. The Kona Maxxis Shimano Cyclocross Team will be piloting the new 2019 Super Jake outfitted with Shimano Dura Ace Di2 components, Maxxis tubular tires (including the Speed Terrance, Mud Terrane and All Terrane Tread) all glued up on Shimano tubular wheels.

The Kona Maxxis Shimano Cyclocross Team roster features returning team member Kerry Werner and new Kona athlete Rebecca Fahringer.

Kerry is a podium threat at any race he attends, including placing third at CX nationals in 2017 and 2018 and winning multiple UCI level events in the US during the 2018 season. Kerry also placed third at BC Bike Race this year in his first shot at the hallowed single track classic and won the Pisgah MTB stage race earlier this year as part of his preparation for another killer cyclocross season.

Rebecca Fahringer is a former Triathlete who recently caught the CX bug, and is now making regular appearances on UCI podiums across North America and Europe. Rebecca has a degree in Geology and Physics from MIT and has one seriously amazing rock collection. She recently joined the Kona Adventure Team for a bike packing trip across Vancouver Island in BC, and laid a handy whooping to veteran Kona Athletes Kris Sneddon and Barry Wicks along the 350-mile route. Look for Rebecca analyzing soil composition, throwing down sick skids and winning races this year and she and Kerry tackle a full Schedule of domestic and international cyclocross races.
