Hosting and planning a local enduro race can be an overwhelming challenge. The backbone of the race is the stages. In the case of the Steel City Enduro all the trail work comes from volunteers and their countless hours of dedication prepping the trail system and stages to be race ready and safe for 180 riders. Not only can the trails be technically challenging to ride in Pennsylvania, sometimes they are even more difficult to build. Creative thinking came into play connecting two trails into one stage. The end result also added a unique feature to the trail system as a whole.
