This past weekend saw the Languedoc-Roussillon regional DH championships take place in Alzon near the gates of the Cevennes National Park in Southern France.

Local rider Rudy Cabirou, who came 10th at the Lourdes World Cup round in April, was their main threat.2015-05 9 alzon (247)Julien was feeling fast and has moved on from the injuries he received early in the season, Paulhan is also feeling super comfortable on his bike and is now finding the speed he needs for the remaining World Cups. It wasn’t to be in Alzon though, with Rudy carrying on his Lourdes form to take the win in 2:44, while Paulhan finished second in 2:48 and Julien finished third in 2:50.

2015-05 9 alzon (320)These podium results though are good motivation for the Kona X1 Team, especially after our early season struggle getting into the rhythm of this chaotic season.

2015-05 9 alzon (172)The drive is there, and also the desire to do well, the team are extremely excited heading to Fort William in early June for the second round of the World Cup.
