Do you like being treated well? Add B-Rad’s Bike Stop to your travel plans next time you’re in Southern California. It’s Corona’s newest bike shop, just off the 15, in the Santa Ana range. At B’Rad’s the customer is king.
“We don’t hassle people and mostly we enjoy the customer experience,” says Ronny Chalk, manager. “We’re not trying to sell you something we need to move. We’ll sell you something you are going to use.”
“We’re an exciting shop. We’ve got that mom and pop feel but with a modern day look – lots of colour, an open layout and great bikes.”
What sets B’Rad’s apart?
“Everybody here rides bikes. We all love bikes. We have extensive shop backgrounds.
We’re a full service shop, whether it’s for the guy who’s looking for a beach cruiser just to ride around or the guy who’s looking for a road bike for his next crit race. We carry everything and pretty much work on everything,” says Chalk.
Last ride: A local spot, just this morning, Santa Rosa Plateau in the southern end of the Santa Ana Mountains, in southwest Riverside County.
“A little rolling mountain bike trail with single track. It’s pretty fun,” says Chalk.
Cycling advice: “Keep it rubber side down”
Favourite rides: “Our shop road ride – straight out the shop door down to the lake and back.”
Favourite Kona: Ronny likes his Kahuna Deluxe hardtail, and anticipates his time on the Entourage, but after checking out the Satori full suspension 29er, his favourite Kona at the moment – the Satori.
Last ride: The Santa Rosa Plateau, in the southern end of the Santa Ana Mountains, in southwest Riverside County.
Best area bakery: Hunney’s Café – two doors down from the shop.
