Kona Endurance Team rider Spencer Paxson just fired through a very excited email, it turns out he’s been selected to represent the USA at the Pan Am Games in Toronto this July. “Earlier this year I was contacted by the USOC as a potential candidate, and the committee ended up picking me as one of the two dudes from the US!”

The Pan Am Games act as a precursor to the Olympics with over 7,000 athletes from 41 nations in attendance. The Pan Ams are the third biggest multi-sport event in the world, behind the Summer Olympics and Asian Games.  CBC is the host broadcaster and has one of it’s largest sport broadcast packages ever. ESPN will also be covering the games so hopefully the mountain biking will get some good air time.
