the-geekFrom the reasoning of the Dawg name to the best comic book authors, from the history of the Hot to a timeline of industrial music, Cory has the trivia, and the opinions to mouth off about it.

I posted my Paddy Wagon recently, now we’ll take a look at another fixie, this one hailing from Springfield, MO.

Springfield is a funny town, with a mix of southern and midwestern attitudes, but with enough of the college town mindset to still make it pretty funky. Another thing Springfield has going for it is that there’s a big fixie community, and Queen City Cycles, who actively push that scene. Of course, their little gang, the Shiftless Bastards holds monthly parties and rides, which doesn’t hurt.
One of the people you’ll always see at these events is Thom, often times holding a megaphone and shouting winners of the skid competition or rules of the next event. Thom is the owner of this sexy new rat, which will undoubtedly get beaten, scratched, crashed, and skidded all over town, but will still look damn fine.
