Intense rain and gale force winds have plagued the start second round of the UCI DH World Cup in Fort William, Scotland. Riders and media alike braved the elements yesterday for timed training and Kona’s Gravity team all rolled in with solid results. Connor Fearon finished the day in the top 20 with 14th in elite men while Andrew Crimmins was 5th in the juniors and Tegan Molloy landed herself 10th in the elite women’s division.
With the weather deteriorating further over night and 40 mile an hour winds forecast for the upper sections of the track, qualifying practice has already been pushed back till 11am. If the winds don’t ease The Kona Gravity Team and the rest of the the World Cup riders will squeeze in a little practice and then race both qualifiers and finals on Sunday.
