Team Maunsell were in action last weekend at R1 of the Irish Gravity Enduro Series, held up on Ticknock mountain overlooking Dublin city. Leah gave this round a reluctant miss as she is busy studying for her school exams, the plan being to put in the work now so she will be able to take time away from the books to race in the Enduro World Series round 2, which is coming to Ireland at the end of May. Exciting times!

Subbing in for Leah on the team was her dad Cieran aka ‘the driver’. Who has earned his nickname through all the thousands of kilometres he has driven, taking the pair to races all across the country!

The boys practised together on the Saturday, getting their lines dialled in and having plenty of craic on the hill while doing so! All that went out the window though when the weather changed dramatically on the Saturday night! It was a wash out!

They both went to battle on Sunday morning in their respective category’s, Johnny in Pro men and Cieran in the 40-49’s. Battling it out on a very wet, muddy and technical route. Cieran fought through the mud also on a process 153dl to survive the day and finish mid pack in his category, happy days!

Jonathan placed 10th in the Pro Men against a strong field of competitors, the stages were very tough to get a good clean run down, pictured here giving it everything on stage 3, on which he placed 4th in that stage.

Big thanks to our team sponsors Dare2b Clothing, MBW Bikeshop, Kona Bikes and Granna Energy Europe for their support.
Also big thanks to the photographers Adrian Van der Lee and Action Pictures Ireland for braving the weather to get the shots, cheers guys!
