Between August 5th and 9th, Kona invited dealers from around North America to come join us in beautiful, sunny (honestly) Bellingham, Washington to ride bikes, learn about our 2014 bike program, ride bikes, and of course, meet new friends and re-acquaint with old ones. This was our fourth annual dealer launch, and as the Kona family grows and gets to know each other better, calling it the Reunion just made sense. With over 200 dealers from as far south as Austin, Texas all the way up to William’s Lake, BC, from downtown Toronto, Ontario to Manhattan, NY, it was an eclectic crew of nearly 400 dedicated cyclists testing out new Kona 2014 Road, Commuter and Mountain Bikes over two separate launches. With a hilarious fat bike toilet pulling contest at the Kona USA warehouse in Ferndale, backyard pumptrack sessions, Kona Team athlete appearances, and wicked riding of all stripes based out of our Lake Padden demo center, and unbelievably sunny weather, it was a Reunion to remember.

Launch #1 attendees hunker down at the Lakeway Inn for the annual Roundtable.

The new pumptrack at Kona USA provided oodles of afterhours fun.

Johnny from Whistler Bike Co. shredding singletrack on the new 2014 Major Jake.

Joe, Cory, Spencer, Jack, Aggy and Ian getting ready for another Padden hot lap.

It was a beautiful time…Jordan Sembler (long hair) and Jeff Anderson (short hair) of Queen City Cycles in Springfield, MO

17-year-old Alexandra Christofalos of Activator Cycles in Lake Bluff, Ill on the new Hei Hei Supreme.

The evening activities on night two included frisbees, beers and ski poles.

Brandon of Telluride Gravity Works, winner of the first annual Wo Fatbike Toilet pull! New Pike forks and a sweet new Kona toilet seat.

Tim Rangitsch of Acme Bicycles in Rapid City, SD, loving the new Process line.

The gravel loop around Lake Padden was perfect for casual loops on the new Coco Mixte bike.

Tons of Kona athletes and staff were on hand for the launch: Aggy, Karim, Barry, Alex Stock, Demo Dave and Jacob Heilbron.

With a full compliment of 2014 Zone demo bikes, lots of dealers hit to the windy roads of NW Washington during the launch.

Of course, one of the best things about Kona Dealers is their irreverence. Here the boys and girls of Tennessee Valley Bikes show their deep affinity for all things Kona.

The trails of Lake Padden offer dealers a quick loop to test everything from out new Process bikes, to the Precepts and carbon cyclocross models, the new Super and Major Jake. Thanks to all our fine dealers for their participation. See y’all next year!
