There is no denying that a fair share of Kona staff ride Ti frames. Wether you work for a bike company or not a Ti frame is a thing to be cherished and product manager Pat White’s rainy day Ti Esatto is just that. It’s also the perfect mix of form and function, full size fenders, ultra reliable Shimano drivetrain, flat mount Hydro Shimano disc brakes and just the right amount of carbon (cages, bars and seatpost) make this thing one sexy, fast and practical commuter. Adhering to the Rules, Pat’s curtains match the drapes, and the drapes are wrapped around Easton EC90 carbon bars. Basic Shimano 105 brakes/shifters keep the cockpit clean and simple.
The drivetrain is mix of 105 and Ultegra and that = Bulletproof solid shifting and back up parts at almost every bike shop on the planet.
Keeping all the brands happy, a splash of Campy keeps the bidons in place.
FSA’s SLK components are loved for good reason, they are light in weight, simple in design and come with a reasonable price tag.
The carbon railed Prologo Nago EVO saddle, at 192 grams, balances out some of that fender weight.
Kona’s own Carbon Race fork keeps the bike on track.
The other end of those Shimano levers ends here at Shimano’s flat mount Hydro Disc Brakes and a solid 135 x 12 SRAM Maxle.
And the whole thing is rounded out with a touch of class. Stripper mud guards.
