Today the inaugural Trans BC Enduro kicked off on the spectacular trails of Vernon BC. Five stages encompassing loam, roots, rocks, dust and mud had riders on their toes as they careened down the mountains.
Kona Endurance Team members Kris Sneddon and Barry Wicks were on hand, embracing the blind racing format and throwing all their XC talent at the challenging tracks. After 35 minutes plus of racing today they are both sitting within striking distance of the top five and are looking forward to five more diverse, challenging days.
Tomorrow the race travels into Penticton for what has been described as a very rowdy track. Kris and Barry hope to pilot their Process 111 Dl’s to smooth fast finishes and soak in the amazing sights of the Okanagan valley wine country.
