Kona Adventure Rider Kerry Werner has spent the last couple of years concentrating on long-form gravel and MTB events. For most of 2023, Kerry has been racing the Lifetime Series which meant that Cyclocross, Kerry’s first love, has fallen by the wayside! Well, this weekend he got a chance to get back between the tape at the NCGP UCI Cross event in Hendersonville. He well and truly blew the cobwebs off coming second on both Saturday and Sunday’s races!
“My first UCI CX race since Hartford National last year. I was stoked to kick this one off at a “home” race. I love NCGP. Tim always does a great job with course layout and the racing is always exciting and fast.
Thanks to everyone who came out, stayed for the elite race, and cheered! I missed the CX community and it felt so good to be back.”
