In preparation for The Leadville 100, Kerry Werner’s good buddy Russell Finsterwald put together an elevation boot camp for him, kinda like a toned-down version of their Spirit of Gravel trip earlier this year. Essentially, Crested Butte has rad, rugged, MTB and gravel road riding, and it is at 8.8k-12k feet of elevation (Kerry lives a few 100 feet above sea level). “I rolled up there two weeks ago and stayed a full week to suffer in the thin air and push pedals on some really rad routes, all in hopes of eeking out a little more fitness for Leadville 100.”

After missing The Tushar in the Crusher Kerry needs all the points he can get in the Lifetime Grand Prix series and The Leadville 100 is up next August 12.
