Gravity bikes are in Kona’s DNA. Throughout the decades we’ve had big, burly bikes that were made to ride fast, go big, and last through run after run of bike park abuse. The Operator is the quintessential gravity machine for your shuttle days, chairlift days, or downhill race days. Connor Fearon trusts it on the World Cup circuit, and it’s taken our team riders down some of the wildest trails around the world. Available in carbon or aluminum, the Operator is the downhill machine you’ve been looking for.
The Operator CR has proven to be a contender in downhill races all around the world. From World Cups with Connor Fearon to regional races the world over it’s unapologetically fast. The Operator CR gives you the ability to customize your setup by offering 15mm of rear wheel adjustments and 10mm of reach adjustment, so it’s easier to control the feel of the bike to get the ride you want. While we spec the bike as a 29er, you are able to run 27.5” wheels as well. Shorter or longer, 29” or 27.5”, you have the power to customize your ride. Front and rear RockShox suspension, powerful SRAM Code brakes, and Maxxis Assegai 3C tires on WTB HTZ i30 TCS 2.0 rims round out this innovative and wickedly fast race machine.
What makes downhill bikes so special? They’re dependable. They get you through the craziest sections of trail. They’re fast. They teach you confidence. They’ve always been the go-to machines for when the going gets rough and tough. With a RockShox Boxxer Select Debonair up front and a Super Deluxe Coil Select in the rear, and a dependable SRAM drivetrain, the Operator is your trusty companion for the heaviest hits and the fastest tracks.
